About Tasha

I’m Tasha Bovain, an essayist and reformed New Yorker now living in Matthews, NC. With over a decade of professional writing experience, I’ve crafted everything from attorney bios and website copy to newspaper articles and personal essays. My work has appeared in various publications, including Minerva Rising, The Bitchin’ Kitsch (B’K), and the East Meadow Herald.

My writing journey began in 2007, driven by my frustration with headlines like “How to Make a Man Fall in Love with You” and “How to Please a Man in Bed.” Tired of the same old messages, I launched SingleandFab.com to challenge those narratives and spotlight single, professional women thriving on their own terms.

Today, I write to spark conversation and examine the cultural and social conditioning that shapes womanhood. I created my Substack, Everything I Learned About Womanhood Is a Lie, to inspire reflection, healing, and self-reclamation.

When I’m not analyzing blueprints at my day job, you can find me people-watching in Charlotte, always on the lookout for the next story.
